Chamber including the leading firms engaged in 501 Chinese trade, desire to give the fullest support

to the request of the Hong Kong Chamber, which vas

also endorsed by my Council at its meeting yesterday,

and I am to express the hope that His Majesty's

Goverment will take such measures as the serious

circumstances of the case would appear to værrant.
